The Twins - Day 2

The girls are doing great! We were finally able to go down to the nursery and actually hold them. Below Corey is holding Madison and Karen is holding Kennedy. Both girls have had two feedings and both have eaten well. Mom and Dad got to do the feedings this last time. Madison is a piglet and drank hers down flat. Kennedy fell asleep halfway through but everyone was still proud of her! They have taken Madison off the oxygen and are slowly weaning Kennedy off of hers. The pediatrician and nurses hope to have the babies in the room with Karen by tomorrow. They are tiny little girls, but just so precious and perfect

Below is Kennedy Lynn (her IV is in her foot, so no splint here....right now that and their size are the easiest ways to tell the girls apart!). To answer many of your questions, we are still waiting for the pathology report on the placenta to know if the girls are identical or fraternal twins.
Karen is doing great. She has yet to really experience any pain from the surgery and has been up and walking the halls pretty well. Let's hope that trend continues. We'll keep you posted with any new developments. Thank you to everyone for all the congratulations and well wishes!
