Buy stock in Cheerios if you can....these girls are eating them by the boxful! Just a few pictures of them sharing their snack the other day. Mom could only find one of the trays for the bumbo seat but Kennedy had no trouble reaching over to grab some off of Madison's. Luckily, there was plenty to go around so Madison (as you can see) was happy to share....

Chuck E Cheese

We took a little trip to Sioux Falls last week so Mom and Dad could attend a fundraiser for a friend of theirs who is running for Secretary of State here in South Dakota (GO GANT!). They took us kids along and we stayed at their friend's house (Mr. Jason and Miss. Chris were so brave to take all six of us in!). They have three little girls too (poor Harrison....odd man out) so we had a great time playing together. And luckily, Harrison and they're little girl Mallory (age 2 and 1/2) totally fell in love and had a great time playing (they even walked hand in hand through the mall together!). Anyhow, they lined up two babysitters to watch SEVEN kids under the age of SEVEN....wow! Luckily all went well and parents and kiddos alike had a wonderful evening. We went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch the next day and these seem to be the only pictures mom has as proof of our trip. Hopefully Chris will send us some of the ones she took of all us kids playing at the bbq we had our second night in town. We were just glad to survive our first big trip away from home as a family! Hopefully there will be more to come this summer!

Gaining a New Perspective

Madison is starting to master this whole sitting up business and is very much enjoying the new view. Starting on Saturday she is now able to sit for at least a minute before toppling over! Kennedy is still practicing and generally just leans forward to touch her knees with her toes....also an impressive feat if you've ever tried it!

Spring is Here...Finally!

After lots and lots of cold, rainy, dreary days, the sun has returned to South Dakota and we are all thrilled to be spending more time outside. We loaded everybody up for a walk only this time I decided to bring my own set of twins along. I'm sure we were quite the sight around town that afternoon!

We took the long way to the park and stopped by the bakery for a treat and then stopped by Great Grandpa and Great Grandma's for a visit. Mom was so proud of us kiddos -- Harrison played "fix the boat and trailer" with Great Grandpa and I gave Great Grandma some flowers I picked on the walk and shared my donut holes! I think their favorite part was when Harrison decided he needed a new pretend hammer to fix the boat and said "I'll just go on the computer and order one....you be the mailman and bring it to me." Great Grandpa and Great Grandma sure think times have changed since the good ol days when you'd just go to the hardware store! (or maybe Mommy's just been doing a little too much online shopping lately!).

We finally made it to the park but then the mosquitos started coming out so our fun there was pretty short lived. Still a great afternoon though!

Oh....and remember that double stroller I brought along? Well. since the afternoon and the walk drug on for so long, I got a little tired (and a new mosquito bite practically put me in hysterics, so we folded it up and loaded it on top of the double stroller.....now making it a sextuplet stroller!)

Speaking of being outside, Daddy isn't getting to do much of that since he has a new project inside. We have a front porch that we need to renovate and he started (literally) tearing into that room last weekend:

We do give him a few breaks.....I took Daddy outside to play catch on Sunday so I could start practicing up for t-ball this summer....

Now it's back to work!

The Graduate

Mom didn't get a ton of pictures because she was busy videotaping the graduation (Dad had Kennedy, Grandma had Madison, PaPa had Harrison.....quite a crew of busy hands!). But just to give you a quick glance, here's a picture of me with my teacher and one with my diploma. Mom will hopefully get around to posting part of the video footage later on. (and for the record....Mom did swear that she wasn't going to cry at her firstborn's first graduation. Let's just say that plan didn't work out. Mrs. Perman made the sweetest slideshow of all us kiddos and set it to a gorgeous song called Let Them Be Little --- and the waterworks began!)

As for me, I'm pretty excited about my first 'summer vacation.' I'm already signed up for about 10 different activities and asking when we're going on "vacation!"

Things I am Grateful For (by Mom)

What a wonderful Mother's Day --- as so many people commented....my blessings and kisses have doubled since last Mother's Day. Love it! Corey and the kids gave me a great day full of kisses, gifts, yummy food and no dishes! So I thought I would finally update the blog with pictures of the kids (I didn't get any pictures of Corey but I am obviously most grateful to him for helping me bring these children into the world and helping me keep my sanity somewhat intact while we work to keep them here!). So back to my point.....Things I am grateful for this Mother's Day:

A determined little girl who fights a whale shark on a Wii game for an hour despite her parents telling her maybe it's not supposed to be one of the fish you can catch....and watching the joy when she learns the value of not giving up (it weighed 20,000 pounds!....most of the fish range from 1 to 50)
