Happy Easter!
We all came downstairs to hunt for our baskets from the Easter Bunny. Kennedy found hers (the bunny was nice and hit it out in the open!)
Harrison tried to trick the bunny and left out TWO baskets. He filled this one with shredded lettuce....
I thought that was pretty funny of the Easter Bunny!
Madison found hers pretty easily too...
Harrison's real basket was hidden in the shower....
That silly bunny put mine in the dryer!
The Easter Bunny left a treasure map in my basket for me to go find another present....a new Wii game and a stuffed dog that I have been hugging everytime we were at the MiniMall....
It's close to impossible to get a picture of the four of us together in our Easter outfits....especially when you try to take the picture after we just got home from sitting still in church and the babies want a nap
After the twins woke up, we headed out to the shed for Easter, Part 2. The bunny hid some baskets out there for us too. I found Harrison's first but didn't tell him where (heehee)
Madison got a cute book about the tickle monster. It even came with cute little tickling mitts. Christie tried to read it to her but she wasn't too excited about those gloves. We'll try again though! (yep....Aunt Christie is here...go figure, we have no photo proof that she was there though! Oops. Guess we better remember to get a picture before she leaves town again!)
Madison had a blast running around the shed!
And, of course, no trip to the shed is complete without a spin in the big kids' cars....

Giving Grandma love!

Happy Easter everyone!
Egg Hunt
Here's Kennedy getting a few tips from Dad...
Easter Eggs
We didn't want to leave the twins out of all the fun of getting ready for Easter, but we weren't quite ready to let them have a go at egg decorating. So we pulled up their chairs so they could watch and gave them some plastic eggs and cups so they could just pretend. They caught on pretty quick that they were still missing out on something, but they had fun anyway...

A New Fashion Trend
Dance Party....Yippee!
At the end of a long day, we all like to blow off a little of what energy we have left by having an impromptu Dance Party in the living room. We were really bringing out some great moves the other night -- unfortunately, the video camera was pulled out a bit too late to capture the really good ones, but we did get a few pictures....

Madison decided to sit this one out. She grabbed herself a stepstool to use as her seat for judging the dance-off and wrapped herself up in her own little cocoon....she looked pretty darn cute!

Mad Scientists
We ended up having a snow day on Friday....yep, you read that right. Spring came, the sun came out, all the snow melted, we went to the park, we played on the swingset and then BAM, a snowstorm that cancelled school. Gotta love South Dakota weather! We pulled out a science kit we had and made crystals and volcanoes and learned how badly red cabbage smells :). We did an underwater volcano which basically just made water fizz up and out of a test tube while changing colors....as seen a little bit in these pictures....
You will see that Harrison was a bit apprehensive of the part where we added citric acid...when it started "erupting" he actually jumped out of his seat and ran to the living room. Pretty funny for the rest of us!
I wasn't scared....
Math Whiz
I get a little fascinated by learning new things....the other night Mom and Dad were teaching me about adding big numbers when you have to carry a number over into the next column. I just kept asking for more and more problems so I could figure it all out. It's a good thing we have so many math whizzes in the family because they clearly passed down a few of their genes. Let's just hope I still like doing all this work all the way through school! You'll also notice that I have taken to grading my own work :)

Because i don't want to forget
This blog, mostly, serves to remind us of things we would otherwise forget in our day-to-day lives. tonight, Harrison asked Daddy to play tic-tac-toe. he (with help) drew the board and Daddy asked "what are you? Xs or Os?" Harrison's reply: "I'm Handy Manny and you are Mr. Ayallah" Okay, so he kinda gets it....
