The Sky is Falling

Okay, it was our ceiling - not the sky falling - but boy is it fun to watch when you are 2 and 4 years old!  (we were behind the 'safety' of the plastic sheeting but even that was freaking mom out, so we eventually went on an outing to get away from the mess and falling debris!)  So this is us at the end of day 2 (scroll down to the previous post if you missed the original pics...
As part of our outing today we headed down to Pierre to look at flooring and we decided to peek in on Daddy at the "blue squares place" -- also known as the state capitol building.  We sat up in the gallery and watched him for a minute before he looked up and saw us -- he was so surprised and happy to see us.  Then he told Mommy to send us down to the floor -- brave, brave Daddy!  So Harrison and I sat on the Senate floor while they were debating a bill about pre-kindergarten.  We were so good and made all those fighting legislators smile for a little bit :).  Mom is just mad because she didn't have a camera.  Guess we'll have to do it again!  But it was a fun day to be little legislators!

What a difference a day makes....

Here are some pictures of our kitchen -- before; all cleared out; all cabinets removed; and now the walls. I didn't go all the way in for the "during" picture -- it's a bit of a disaster zone, which the guys are currently shoveling out right now (literally -- with snow shovels). I think we've got a ways to go before I can post the "all done" picture! But this is all since 8am this morning -- wow -- it's exciting!

Growing a Beard

Bubbles, cotton candy -- all appear to be great materials for dressing up as Santa Claus!

My Sweet Valentines

Playing House

We got the first of a bunch of new appliances this week -- a wine fridge. The kids were thrilled because the box is gigantic and they turned it into a beautiful new home, perfect for playing postman (we even included a mail slot) and Big Bad Wolf (Harrison even managed to blow the thing done with lots of blown air and a really big shove!)

Ring around the Rosie

Ignore Reagan's wardrobe malfunction (her butt isn't big enough to keep those pants up!).

You may also notice she gets her words a little mixed up. Instead of "ashes, ashes" she sings "Ashers, Ashers" after her best friend and future hubby, Asher!

Pizza Pizza

We've finally decided to let Harrison help in the kitchen a little -- and he helped me make a pizza the other night. I also taught him about sampling the food before cooking and eating it. We ate a lot of cheese as an appetizer to our cheese pizza!

All's Quiet on the South Dakota Front

We just haven't been taking pictures lately --- so sorry! We're keeping busy getting through the weeks with Daddy away and enjoying all our family time together on the weekends -- and in the midst of all that, we just haven't been pulling out the camera much. The week before last us kids were battling the stomach bug (trust me, you wouldn't want to see pictures!). Mom did get a cute one of Harrison one day though -- he was so exhausted that he climbed up on the bench in the entry and decided it was a perfect spot for a nap! The other pictures are of me from this weekend. I wanted to wear red for my Super Bowl team (which I picked because I would rather wear red than yellow....not for any specific sports-related reason -- although Mommy & Daddy were routing for the Cardinals and their former classmate Bert Berry -- soo sad they lost, but what a fun game to watch!). The shirt is from Gams' daughter Gina -- she and Gams buy me all the super stylin stuff :). I did get lots of compliments -- Thank you Gina!
