Birthday Wishes and Spring Projects

First of all, we have to start our post with a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our cousin Abbey who turned two years old today! We were sad to miss your party but hope you had a great time celebrating and that you had good weather and a good time at the Race for Hope today! We love you!

We have become HUGE fans of Handy Mandy (a cartoon about a fix-it guy), so when Daddy announced plans for a project in the backyard, we were so excited to grab our toolbelts, toolboxes, and tools and get to work helping him! We helped him pull nails and measure pieces of wood and hammer new nails and hand him supplies.....he says we were helpful and we think he's telling the truth! Thanks to Luke too, who stopped by today and helped Daddy haul away a bunch of dirt and trash! There's a shed in the backyard that currently holds a whole lot of campaign supplies. Well, Daddy found a new home for the signs, so he's transforming the shed into a playhouse and we are so excited! Here are the before and during photos....Hopefully it won't be like the kitchen and we'll be posting a final picture soon! (FYI - The kitchen is done except for a light, a piece of trim and a new table....we were waiting for everything to be done to post the final reveal, but we're probably ready to post a pic now.....just as soon as mom clears off the boxes and bins of maternity clothes that Amy sent and Joey brought over (THANK YOU GIRLS!!!) from the current table. She promises that will be very soon! In the meantime, back to the playhouse project:

We also celebrated May Day this past week. Harrison and I had a great time decorating our May Day baskets (well, we did bags this year....an easier craft for us!) and delivering them. I actually managed to successfully deliver some without getting caught with a kiss! I did linger at a few places to purposesly get a kiss (and realized that the recipient would often share some of their candy with me!)
Finally just a few random shots.... Harrison put on Mommy's shoes today and looked pretty silly with big shoes, no pants and his sword....
