Memorial Day

We managed to get Papa's boat out last weekend for a test run -- and luckily it worked! :) We had a lot of fun even though it was a bit windy and chilly. We're looking forward to going out lots and lots this summer. Harrison and I both got to take turns driving and we both think we're pretty darn good at it! After our boat ride, we went to river mass (the Catholic church has outdoor mass out at the river during the summer, which is great -- except that Harrison has a hard time keeping quiet and likes to give a play-by-play narration of every boat, truck, bird, tree, or other interesting thing he sees). It was a great weekend. Daddy had to give a few speeches at area events on Memorial Day, so it wasn't much of a long weekend for him. He did a great job at his speeches and we would just like to take a minute to thank all the men and women who serve in the military and all the people who stay back home and wait for their return!

Mom has one more week of work - next week is Vacation Bible School, which I am so excited about because it's the first year I get to go instead of being in the daycare room! Then we have a pretty full summer of fun coming up. We're heading to Colorado to see Nona & Stacey -- at the same time that Aunt Jen, Uncle Kevin and Bobby are visiting! Then Abbey and Amy are coming for TWO WHOLE weeks in July. And to top off all the fun, Uncle Ryan and Brooke's wedding will be in August out in California. I can't decide which event to be most excited about. And we may even try to squeeze in a trip to DC to hang out at Pops and Gams beach house. I love summer!!!
