There are Tigers in the Shopping Mall!

Amy, Scott & Abbey's visit is quickly coming to an end. We are going to be so sad when they leave! Yesterday, we filled the day with fun and touristy stuff. We went for a walk through downtown to show Scott some of the parks, memorials, and Daddy's office and then made a stop at the bakery. Friday is donut hole day and (I think we've mentioned this before) Harrison loves the place. He usually runs up to the display case with a giggle of glee. On the way back home we stopped at the park behind the school and played for a while. Since it was so hot, we decided it would be a good day to spend some time in an air-conditioned car and we took a drive down to Pierre to show everyone the capitol building (a.k.a Daddy's new office when he gets elected to the state legislature) and surrounding area. We finished the day off with a stop at the mall in Pierre to see TIGERS. Yep....strangely enough in the middle of the mall they had cages set up with tigers inside! And we even got to go inside the cage and play with a baby white tiger. He was only 3 1/2 weeks old and was very cute and playful. I was a bit worried that he would try and chew on or scratch Harrison so I was a bit nervous around him, but I had fun. What a day! We came home and Mommy cooked Indian Tacos for the grown ups and they opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate the house in Oklahoma selling!!!! This morning they all tried kuchen (the official desert of South Dakota....which can also be eaten as a brunch item...it tastes a lot like a danish/coffee cake thing). Who knew there was so much local cuisine??? We have one last day to play in Gettysburg and then Mommy & Daddy are taking them to Sioux Falls tomorrow to meet up with Scott's mom. I'm very excited because Harrison and I are having our very first sleepover at Grandma and Granpa's house (Mommy & Daddy seem really excited about this too!). Harrison walked around in a towel like a big boy after his shower....Mom had to hold it closed with a clamp (and it's a hand towel!) Mom thought it was so cute so she had to take a picture...
