Harrison has a birthday coming up this weekend. Turning six years old! (How on earth did that happen???) Anyhow, if you remember correctly, last year he specifically requested a surprise party. And somehow, we managed to give him what he wanted and still actually surprise the kid. So fast forward to this year and Grandma came up with the idea to do it again. Grandma and Grandpa will be in Ireland for the Notre Dame - Navy game on Harrison's birthday so they wanted to celebrate early with him. So they put together a little party at the shed for him yesterday. Well, as you can see from his face in this picture, there was definitely some surprise.......
And, as you can see in this picture, his cute little face is trying to politely point out to all of us that it isn't actually his birthday (therefore, he didn't think it should be a birthday party). We managed to get over that little discrepancy though and have a really fun day. He did occasionally refer to it as his "fake" birthday but once the presents and cake came out, I think he generally gave in and enjoyed his special day!
