One Fine Day

Well, by Saturday morning, I wouldn't say everyone was back to perfect health, but everyone was fine.  And that in itself was a huge improvement from the rest of the week.  Grandma graciously agreed to keep the twins so as not to wear them out too quickly too soon.  The rest of us loaded up into the vehicle to take a stroll through Storybook Land in Aberdeen before dropping Amy and the kids at the airport up there.  Casey put a few words in for his early Christmas list with Santa.  We took a stroll down the yellow brick road, road the hot air balloon ride and the train.  The kids have been enough times now that they skip what they want and run to the places they insist on hitting everytime they go.  We finally had a break in the ridiculous heat too, which explains the crazy outfits of leggings under spaghetti-strapped sundresses with fleeces (or Casey's pajamas....they were the only pants they packed because it was supposed to be so hot the whole time they were here).

It's always so hard to say goodbye.  But especially this time when we did anything but provide them a relaxed stay while escaping the chaos of remodeling and moving back home.  But we agreed that the kids still walked away feeling like they had a lot of fun together.  It's just Amy, Corey and I that may need a mini vacation after the whole ordeal!  We miss you.  Happy 2nd Birthday Casey!
