Funny....in the last post we called it winter wonderland -- well about a week ago, Mom had some less flattering words to describe our winter! 10 days without sunshine, freezing temps, blizzard conditions and loss of power all equal a mommy on the computer mapquesting directions to DC and/or Santa Barbara -- both grandparents live exactly the same distance apart....crazy, huh? She actually thought 24 hours in the car with four small children sounded better than this! Luckily, sunny days are here again and we're back on track. Mom's mood was so good that she even got brave enough to take all four of us kiddos down to Pierre yesterday to see Daddy at work! Our original plan was to go swimming at the Y and then go see him but then we ended up taking the babies along and Mom was wise enough not to try the swimming thing. Luckily, the Y has an awesome KidCenter that you can go and play in when they're not using it for childcare. We had the whole place to ourselves and ran off lots of energy:

Harrison climbing through the play structure
(he wouldn't go without Mom so she took pictures along the way)

Where's Reagan?

Just in case the babies suddenly developed an insanely early ability
to crawl, Harrison and I built a little fence around them
(this also was wise to help protect them from
us as we drove little cars around the room!

Mom managed to get a couple shots of the twins...they're actually starting to study each other a little bit. It's really hard to believe they will be four months old already on Saturday! Since they were making their first public appearance on the floor of the South Dakota Senate, mom figured they better wear matching outfits...(but she messed up again and has Madison on the left...)

(their shirts say "best friends")

Mom couldn't really get in to get many pictures but this is Daddy introducing all of his kids to his fellow Senators. He was such a proud dad! We brought the session to a bit of a standstill as several other senators took a moment of personal privilege to comment on us kids...it was pretty fun! And when we got there Daddy was introducing and debating (and got a winning vote!) on a resolution -- it was pretty fun to sit up in the gallery to watch him in action!

Harrison and I with Daddy -- Daddy's seatmate was feeding me lots of tootsie rolls as you can see from the lump in my cheek!

It was a fantastic day and so fun for all of us!
Now Mom is off to tackle her next challenge. Two new highchairs just arrived from the UPS guy and she's got to figure out where on earth they will fit in our kitchen!

They are so beautiful! I think the twins look a lot like Harrison, yes?? They are so precious and they look like they are really happy babies.
Wow, what a brave momma!! Sounds like it was a very successful trip.
The twins in their best friends outfits were too cute! They really look like little Harrisons (especially the one sitting in the bouncy seat at the Y.
Hope that you get a break from snow soon...wishing for an early spring here!!!
These are GREAT pictures! What awesome memories your kids are going to have of Daddy's Senate job. And, good for you for getting out of the house with four in tow!!
