2011 SD Governor's Inauguration & Daddy's Swearing In

What a great way to start off 2011. We elected a new governor here in South Dakota back in November and this past weekend Mom and Dad went down to Pierre for the Inaugural festivities. They started the day out at the Governor's Mansion for a breakfast with all the legislators. This picture is in front of the most gorgeous fireplace made from rock that was blasted from the Crazy Horse Memorial site.
Daddy was sworn in to his second term in the South Dakota State Senate:
And he posed for pictures with Mom, Grandma and Grandpa and his great friend Bobby in front of his desk on the floor:

They then had great seats to watch their friend Jason Gant get sworn in as Secretary of State and of course, the man of the hour, Gov. Daugaard sworn in as Governor. Mom's a bit weird because she can get choked up even at a political event but it was an amazing day. Us kids watched it at home with Jordan who was awesome enough to babysit all four of us OVERNIGHT. Harrison saw Jason on TV and said "hey, I know that guy." Love it.
The day was topped off by two balls and Mom and Dad got all decked out. They had a wonderful evening!
Now Dad is off to start the legislative session. Us kids are going to do our best to be good so mom doesn't lose her mind!
