Spotlight Student

I was finally chosen as the Kindergarten Spotlight Student last week! Each week, the newspaper here in town profiles one of the students in Kindergarten and I was so excited when it was finally my turn. The spotlight students takes in a bunch of pictures of them as a baby and their family and they make an entire bulletin board in the classroom all about me! Then you sit in a chair up front and answer questions about your favorite things to help the paper write about you. And finally you go home at the end of the week with a book put together by your classmates where each one of them draws a picture and writes what they like about you. It's pretty neat! And, as an added bonus, they encourage your mom or dad to come up and eat lunch with you and the class one of the days that week. Daddy had already started down in the Senate, so Mom and Harrison came up and joined me for lunch. I think Harrison enjoyed it as much as anyone...he was so busy chatting with all my friends that he hardly remembered to eat (which is saying A LOT for him!)

The bulletin board:
Mom's favorite answer to one of the many questions they asked me:
After lunch, my class headed to Computers and Mom and Harrison were able to stay for just a minute to watch us work...
And here is the newspaper article (and, yes, I did say my favorite song was Pokerface...nice, huh?:
