Salmon Spawning Station Tour

We had our first Girl Scouts outing on Tuesday and we took Abbey along to be a girl scout for the day. Luckily it was also a joint Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts adventure, so we brought Harrison too! We took a tour of the salmon spawning station out at the river. It was very interesting, but unfortunately there weren't any salmon trying to climb the ladder that day which meant we got bored pretty quickly and found other entertaining things to check out. Mom was actually glad I didn't pay too much attention though because she wasn't all that ready for the follow up questions about eggs and their harvesting and fertilizing and everything else that follows!



We even got new fishing poles and got to try and catch our own fish afterwards. I didn't have any luck that afternoon but it was still a very fun day!
Amy took a bunch more pictures of Abbey and me while we were ignoring the tour so maybe we'll get some of those posted later in the week!
