Dancing Queen
Saturday night was my big dance recital. I even got to have my hair done in an up-do for the first time ever -- thank you Joey for making me so beautiful! I have a little more practicing to do before I'm headed to Juliard, but everyone said I did a great job at the recital and I had lots of fun!

Baby Update
Mom and Dad saw the doctor today and all is well with the babies. They are both growing strong. Baby A looks to be around 1 pound, 11 ounces and Baby B is around 1 pound, 13 ounces. They are cute but still stubborn. The ultrasound tech yet again had a tricky time trying to capture a Kodak moment with either one. We'll post three of the best. If you find the face, you'll see that Baby B is actually smiling at you! The doctor doesn't see any signs of trouble and seems optimistic about allowing Mom to go to Brooke & Ryan's wedding in a few weeks! She goes back for another check up in 2 weeks.
Here is a picture of the twins putting their heads together and already scheming against Mom and Dad.... If you're any good at looking at these things and you look at the left edge of the circle on the right, you can see the profile of the baby's face...
Introducing Baby A -- the face is a bit smudged but you can make out the perfect little lips pretty well...
And here is Baby B with it's head turned to the side. The little lips are curled up in a smile....

Farewell to Abbey and Amy -- we miss you!
Just a few more pictures of our last days of fun with Abbey. We took Amy and Abbey to the airport yesterday and were sad to see them go. It took a little while, but about 10 minutes after leaving the airport, I started crying about something that was no big deal and then realized that I was just sad about Abbey leaving. Mom gave me a big hug and a new dress up princess dress and that seemed to make everything all better :).
We got a crazy spraying sprinkler that we got out one day to run around in with Abbey....there was a momentary distraction by a neighborhood cat that we were trying to find after it ran away from us, but it was a fun sprinkler. Then we gave croquet a shot.....we made up our own rules and game for it and had lots of fun with that...
I took Abbey to dance class with me on Tuesday. I even let her wear one of my leotards from last year. She was super cute and was the hit of the class. Everyone wanted to play with her and she did a good job watching and following the moves with me...
Then it was time for more outside water play. Mom blew up our inflatable pool and we splashed around in that for a while...
And this is Mommy's favorite picture from their trip. Amy took this when we took Abbey up to the cathedral in Hoven (if you read her blog, you know how much Abbey LOVES churches and nuns). The three of us posed for a picture and tried to look like angels...the funny part was that we both had the reddest eyes EVER until Amy fixed them in iPhoto
We miss you already Amy and Abbey. I already asked my mom if you put a new countdown clock on your blog to help figure out how long it is until you come back!

More Adventures
We are still having tons of fun with Abbey and Amy here. Poor Abbey seems to be getting a little bit sick and we're hoping that she feels better before her plane trip home on Wednesday! It's nothing too bad, but we just wish she was feeling a little bit better! We're especially hoping she feels better today because Mommy, Daddy and Amy are planning to go out for a yummy dinner at View 34 in Pierre. Jenna is coming over to babysit and we're all looking forward to that. She came over the other night and took the three of us to the park while Mommy & Amy hosted a Pampered Chef party and Abbey just LOVES Jenna (which is huge because Abbey still doesn't really like her mommy to leave her sight!). Abbey has been asking for Jenna ever since and so they're excited to get to go have a grown-up night out!
We headed out to the Discovery Center in Pierre last week and got to explore lots of hands on exhibits, mazes, a tree house, and a kaleidoscope mirror that was pretty entertaining.
Then on Friday we drove up to Storybook Land in Aberdeen. Other than Abbey making her mommy carry her the entire time, we all had a great time. We went up there last year and I think we have a lot of the same pictures, like the one of us three "following the yellow brick road." Then we got to go to Target and had a yummy McDonald's dinner on the drive home. We got back to town and headed down to the park because it was the Relay for Life walk and they had inflatables and games for the kids. We didn't stay very long because we were all exhausted from the day -- but it was a great day.
It's hard to believe there trip is already almost over. We're really going to miss having them here. Luckily we still have a few more days to fill with more fun. I can't wait to see what we think of next!

Doctor, Doctor
Mom had a check up yesterday with her doctor to see how the twins are doing. All is well with everyone. For those of you who thought Mommy looked a bit on the small side in the last picture, just wait for Sunday and the 24 week picture....things have definitely grown! In fact, her belly is measuring 29 weeks even thought she's only 23 and 1/2! Luckily, twins usually measure about a month ahead, so that's not really that much ahead. The twins are active and both have good, strong heartbeats (for those of you wanting to guess genders by the myth....one's heartrate was 148 and the other's was 150). One baby is upside down and one is right side up, so we're thinking about calling them yin and yang....I have no idea what that means, but I think the names sound pretty silly! The only bad news that Mom got today was when she asked that doctor about traveling in August. We were hoping to fit in a trip to Maryland to see Pops, Gams, Amy & Jen and everyone else. Doctor wasn't too sure about it and then became absolutely definitive upon hearing Mom would be traveling alone with us two kiddos. No way, he said. Mom is still pouting a little about this one, but understands we gotta do what we gotta do to keep these babies in as long as possible. He gave us no guarantees about going to California for Uncle Ryan's wedding, but we're going to make that work no matter what it takes! Aunt Amy went along to the appointment with Mommy and tried to ask the doctor and nurse about whether the babies were boys or girls or both, but they remained tight lipped -- thanks for trying Amy!

Welcome Abbey & Happy Birthday America
Last Wednesday Aunt Amy and Abbey came to town and we have been having so much fun with them! We have mostly just been playing around the house and swinging on the swingset whenever possible. But we also managed to get out and enjoy the fun 4th of July weekend. We headed out fishing on Friday. Harrison and Abbey are still a bit young to find it much fun. Harrison kept getting tangled in fishing line and Abbey found it a bit windy, so they headed home early while Daddy, PaPa, Grandma and me stayed to catch fish. I caught the first fish of the day and we were really surprised at how big it was! I got another one at the end of the day that was apparently "a monster fish" but it managed to get off the line about halfway out of the water. They tell me everyone has a story about the big one that got away!

We had people over for a BBQ and lit off our own display of fireworks on "America's birthday" which was super fun and us kids even got to stay up until 11 at night! Mom, Dad & Amy were equally thrilled when we all slept in past 9 the next morning! (By the way, I also managed to beat my cousin Luke in boxing on the Wii that night -- thanks for being a good sport Luke! Daddy got some video of that too -- everyone seemed to get a lot of laughs watching us, so hopefully we can share with you soon!)
The next day we headed out to the river and had a great day out on the boat....the weather was perfect, us kids were perfect and we even brought the tube out for some fun. Harrison and I both hopped on with Daddy, but started out our first try with just sitting on it. We thought we'd save the fun ride for another day. But Amy and Daddy both got a turn and had a lot of fun. Harrison and I both got in the water to swim with Daddy and everyone was pretty proud of how easily we agreed to that idea!

Today we took Abbey out for lunch and then headed to the pool for the afternoon. Again, the three of us kids are little fishes in the water....so much fun.
Keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow. Mommy has a doctor's appointment to check on the twins -- but that's actually not the worrisome part. Harrison and I are going to try to get Abbey to come to our daycare with us for the day. We're not sure what Abbey is going to think of that idea, but we're hoping we'll all have a fun day. We'll post more pictures and stories of our adventures later this week!
