Happy New Year!

We had so much fun on our trip to DC to see everyone! We're happy to be home, but we really miss our cousins! We actually got the entire clan of Pops and Gams' kids together all at the same time. We set the timer on the camera and actually got a fairly good picture of all of us too!
We took a drive downtown to see the National Christmas tree. It was a bit cold out and poor Abbey looked so cute trying to keep her hands in the pockets of her coat! Luckily, she and I had fun running around to get her warmed up. Harrison spent pretty much the whole time clinging onto the fence surrounding the tree and trying to figure out how to "get in" so he could play with the model trains that had circling the tree!
After our sightseeing, we headed out to meet Bobby for dinner at Chuck E Cheese. We celebrated his second birthday with him there last year and decided to make it an annual event (albeit a few weeks early this year!). We had a great time running around, playing games and dancing on camera! Needless to say after such a big day, it was home to bed for lots of rest!
We headed down to Pops and Gams' beach house for a few days to celebrate New Years. Mom loved waking up to sunrises over the ocean and the sound of the waves. We had a great time spending a few days together with everyone under one roof. We did try to do a nice dinner out one night, but there are no pictures of that because it was completely nuts!

We left the beach and drove a little further south to visit some friends in Virginia Beach and play with their two little boys. Again, a bit nutty, so there aren't a lot of pictures, but we sure had fun!
We spent the last day just playing and visiting and then headed home for a very long trip home (our first flight out of Minneapolis got canceled, so we learned how to entertain ourselves in the airport for TEN hours! Mom and Dad were grateful for moving walkways, toy stores, kids play areas, and the DVD players they got us for Christmas!)
Thank you Pops, Gams, Amy, Scott, Abbey, Jen, Kevin and Bobby! We had so much fun and can't wait to come back again soon!!!!

Uh, did Corey go to DC to visit the family or to scope out the White House for 2012? Looks like you guys had a great time out there! I can't get over how big the kids are!
