Practicing for Halloween

We painted our pumpkins last week, but Mom wasn't really thinking about the fact that we used washable paint -- and then it rained -- so the pumpkins are all clean again. Guess that means we just get to do it again!


I've been waiting and waiting for the leaves to start falling off the trees and they finally started falling, so after we finished painting, we got out the rake and made a pile to jump in!



This weekend was the Halloween Carnival here in Gettysburg. We got to dress up in our costumes and go down to play games and win all kinds of prizes. Harrison is NOT a fan of his costume, but the rest of us think he looks so stinkin' cute in it. He cried for 10 minutes after Mom & Dad finally wrestled him into it. After a while, he gave in and wore it, but usually had to have the hood off his head. Mom didn't get a very good picture of us together but luckily Grandma got one. Mom will work at it again on Halloween night (assuming we can get Harrison to put on his costume again!). I am Little Red Riding Hood and Harrison is the Big Bad Wolf:

Harrison's little buddy Jhett was a sheep (his sister who is my age was Little Bo Peep -- too cute) and they decided to get a picture of the boys (a - because their costumes technically make them enemies and b - to torture the boys with when thye're all grown up and they want to see what their mommies used to do to them before they were old enough to object)
I'm so excited for Halloween! We have a few more parties this week: one at my girlfriend's house and one at daycare and then the official day of trick or treating! But I'm also excited for Halloween because I know that the day after is when Baby Abbey comes back for another visit with Amy. We're so excited to see them again!
