Happy 4th of July!

Mommy's two favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July and it looks like the 4th keeps getting closer and closer to taking the #1 spot. We had such a fun weekend and topped it off with dinner at our house and fireworks last night. We sure missed our annual houseguests, Aunt Amy and Abbey, but hope maybe they can rejoin us next year with our new cousin!

Mom didn't get too many pictures but thought we'd share a few of the ones we got....

We topped off the night with our first campout! Daddy pitched our tent in the backyard and Harrison and I hauled out enough stuffed animals, flashlights, and blankets to keep everyone safe and warm. Mommy stayed inside with the babies -- maybe next year we can all pile inside there! We slept great -- but I did have to complain a little when I came inside at 8am that the birds woke me up --- apparently, I still have a few things to learn about the joys of camping!
We are having a great time with Uncle Ryan, too, who is out visiting for the week. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures to prove he was here so that will be our goal for today!

Giggles

There is nothing better than a baby laughing. Fortunately, my little brother was able to indulge Kennedy. (Almost as funny as Kennedy's laugh is Harrison's inability to blow a bubble.):




Obviously we all know that my little brother couldn't be this creative on his own... I wonder where he thought of this idea:

Fargo

Well, we made it through our little getaway to Fargo this week. The car ride up was a breeze and had Mom and Dad feeling pretty confident. We had a fantastic hotel room with a separate living room so babies could sleep undisturbed. The baby pool at the hotel was 6 inches deep at the shallow end and only a foot and a half at its deepest....we put the babies in some floaties just in case they didn't stay upright and everyone had a blast in the pool. Daddy was able to come down with us the first time so we even managed to snap a couple pictures!

As you can see, the first swimming experience completely wiped out Madison and Kennedy!
The second day, Daddy was in meetings from 7am to 9pm so mom loaded us up and we went to explore a little zoo they have up there. It was a gorgeous day and the zoo was just the right size for us to run around and see everything without exhausting any of us.
My most favorite part was the petting zoo with the baby goats.
And I liked this turtle (I think he liked me too).
But I did NOT like these cockroaches....who really wants to see that exhibit anyway????
It warmed up a bit in the afternoon so we headed indoors to the mall and played in this really neat dinosaur playground...
And, once again, ended the day with a dip in the swimming pool and some completely wiped out kiddos!
We are glad to be home and probably won't venture out on another excursion like that until we forget how much work it was and only remember how much fun we had!

Happy Father's Day!

First, let's start by wishing all the dads out there a very happy Father's Day, especially to my Daddy, and to Pops and to Grandpa. We're so lucky to have such great guys in our lives and we appreciate everything you do for us! Hope you had a wonderful day!Aunt Christie came to visit last week. Her visit went by so fast and we wish we could have spent more time with her. We did manage to get a quick picture of her with her goddaughters though! Can't wait to see you again Christie!
My t-ball team had their first two games last week and even though I ended up with my first injury on day 1, I'm still having fun with it.
Mom and Dad thought this was a funny picture.....rather than guarding the base, I appear to be trying to strike up a conversation with the runner on 2nd....As everyone knows, baseball and t-ball games can get a bit long and monotonous -- this is clearly evident in this picture as I have given up on watching for the balls headed in my direction and instead am excavating in the sand for some hidden jewels!
We headed out to the shed for Father's Day and we're not really sure whose idea this was but we lost all sense of safety and let Madison and Kennedy go for their first rides in our little cars. We promise, we were going slow and being very careful. (of course, Harrison was being so careful by watching Kennedy that sometimes he wasn't watching where he was going, but he really was being a sweet big brother!). The girls actually LOVED the rides and weren't begging to get out at the end! (Harrison is driving Kennedy and I have Madison as my passenger....she never stopped smiling!)

As you can see, we had a very fun day and a great weekend. Today we are heading off on a trip to Fargo, ND. Daddy has a conference up there and we are tagging along to go exploring. Again, this could be a major lapse in their judgment but we'll just see how it goes!

Happy Father's Day again -- with very special wishes to Pops who we didn't get to spend the day with. Mom keeps telling me she has the best daddy just like me! We love you!

Reagan Had A Little Lamb....

Someone Daddy knows has some baby lambs and they were kind enough the other night to bring one of them over to our house so that I could feed it and play with it. Mom and Dad are grateful that I was nervous enough about the animal that I wasn't asking for one of my own! But she sure was cute and once we warmed up to each other, we had a great time!

Took this picture of the girls this weekend....just can't believe they are 8 months old already!

Our friends that we stayed with in Sioux Falls sent a couple pictures they took while us kiddos were playing together. Their daughter crashed her bike and ended up with a black eye....it wasn't us that caused that :). We had a lot of fun together and I think we mentioned earlier that Harrison met a potential future bride. He and Mallory LOVED each other....too cute.....

We're having a great week. Mom is exhausted just keeping up with me, but I'm loving all my summer activities!

Long Overdue...

Okay, Okay! We realize we went missing there for a little while. Summer is in full swing and finding time to upload pictures is a rarity! Mom was helping out with Vacation Bible School this past week and my 5-days-a-week summer rec schedule gets underway this week so we are starting to learn a new definition of busy busy busy! Luckily, we're all having fun. So just to recap what we've been up to.....

Storybook Land opened up a week ago and mom bravely loaded the four of us into the car to enjoy a beautiful (but very windy) day up there....

We walked down the yellow brick road (after convincing Harrison who remembered from last year the forest of talking trees and was momentarily too scared to come along)
We rode the train (which was a feat in itself with the twins in their carseats, but it worked!)
It ended up being a great day!

The next day we headed out to the shed with Grandma and Papa. Grandma called mommy out to get some pictures of us making a train. Papa led the way on his 4-wheeler and then we followed behind in our little cars. We had a blast.....

Then Grandma had a fun idea to let the twins try out the Mustang, They loved it and they looked pretty darn adorable in there. Madison even had one hand on the steering wheel and one on the rearview mirror checking herself out. I think she's ready to drive!!!


I got my car back and borrowed one of the carseats to give my babydoll a nice safe ride....
And the fun didn't even stop there! We came home and had Olivia and Neva over for a playdate and got out the bouncy house! (anyone else exhausted just reading all this????)

Well, as you can see we are loving summer! I start t-ball, fun in the park, crafts and dance this week so there should be lots more to share soon. Mom and Dad have been busy building a raised garden box out by the playhouse so hopefully before the day is done we will be able to share some pictures of that too!
