This year, Harrison decided he wanted to have a surprise party -- which he let us know and then proceeded to cover his ears anytime we talked about his birthday because he didn't want to know anything about his "surprise" party. Such a funny kid! Amazingly, we actually managed to surprise the boy :). Papa came and picked him up to go for a drive and look around town for surprise parties. While they did that, the rest of us headed out to the shed with balloons, pizza, presents and a cake and waited for them to show up. He walked in the door of the shed and actually jumped when we yelled surprise. It was actually quite adorable. He even commented later that night "Mom, I like my birthday." That's all we needed to hear to know he had a fantastic fifth birthday!
