Beautiful Lengths

It's been a year and a half since Reagan cut off 10 inches of her lovely hair for Locks of Love and it has grown to the point where she was ready to cut it again and spare herself the morning battle with the hairbrush and detangling spray!  To keep a little bit of length, the ponytail to be cut was 8 inches, which is too short for Locks of Love, but luckily not too short for another program run by Pantene called Beautiful Lengths.  Beautiful Lengths actually provides free wigs to women with cancer....so another very worthy cause!

Here is the before picture:

The During Picture (thank you to Kelsey for doing the cut!)

Wow....all that hair!

Photo Op to remember where we were :)

Reagan wanted the "official" after picture to be in the same spot as the before picture.  Such a beautiful little girl....we are proud parents!

Harrison's Spotlight Moment

Well, after years and years of coming along to watch and cheer on Reagan at all of her sporting events, cheer performances and concerts, Harrison finally had his moment to show off something of his own.  This year the high school basketball teams along with a preschool mom in town put together a basketball clinic for Preschooler and Kindergarteners.  Harrison had a blast going to practice and they were given an opportunity to come off and do some drills and display their skills during halftime at the Varsity girls game last night (with an encore at the boys game later this week for anyone that missed it!).  It was pretty darn cute and we are always just so excited when people put forth the effort to offer programs for the little ones in our town!

Here are all the kids waiting for halftime (it's a long time to keep the attention of some 4 and 5 year olds!...you will notice Harrison is in the front row but you can't see his face because he's so busy checking in with all his friends and neighbors!)

They came out and ran a lap around the court so we got an action shot:

Waiting his turn....the kid's song "Put Me In Coach" keeps playing in my head when I look at this one:

Dribble, Dribble, Dribble -- that was usually their homework assignment every week!

Way to go Harrison!

Date Night

Every year the SD National Guard holds their Dining Out and invites all the members of the Legislature to be a part of the evening.  Having spent all those years attending military balls, dining outs and other functions, it's an event that Corey and I always look forward to and enjoy.  Thankfully, Grandma and Papa were so kind as to offer to come spend the night with all four kiddos so I could go down for the evening and enjoy a wonderful date night with Corey.  Here we are all dolled up and ready to go!

Senator Daddy

We made an impromptu trip down to Pierre last week to sneak up and surprise Corey at the capitol.  The look on his face was priceless...he was so excited to see his kids and get to introduce them on the Senate floor.  Unfortunately, I don't have any great pictures of them on the floor, but I at least have one picture to prove they were there :)

We are halfway through session!  Hooray!  Looking forward to having Daddy home again but proud of him for everything that he does while he is in Pierre!
